Hi, I’m Kelly Villmer.

My path to coaching is a windy one (like curvy “windy,” not gusty—you get it). I started my career in sales and marketing back when TikTok was just a phenomenal Kesha song. I was always drawn to creative outlets like improv and stand-up comedy, so I dabbled in those on and off (I’m an avid dabbler).

In my early 30s, I started noticing patterns that kept showing up—burnout, perfectionism, people-pleasing, ADHD challenges, and, my personal specialty: avoidance. At the same time, I was learning how to manage stress, ease anxiety, and live with more purpose. That curiosity led me deep into positive psychology and the science of what makes life meaningful and joyful (this was no dabble).

I eventually went back to graduate school for social work and later worked as a therapist, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Part of what led me back for my master’s was something I kept bumping up against in my research: so often, painful experiences leave behind unprocessed emotions and negative beliefs that quietly block people from living out their full potential. I became fascinated with how much freedom can open up when those experiences are brought into the light, understood, and released.

As a therapist, I discovered how much I loved sharing insights, tools, and resources with clients—especially the kind of practical psychoeducation that can shift someone’s perspective. I’m currently completing my Level 1 certification in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a powerful parts-work approach that complements my holistic view of growth and healing.

Now, I bring all of this into my work as a coach—blending psychology, creativity, and humor—to guide people through their “funks” and into deeper alignment with who they truly are. Together, we break through the blocks—old beliefs, fears, and patterns—that keep you stuck, so you can live with more freedom, confidence, and joy.
